Boy Scout and Girl Scout commemorative license plates now will be
distributed by the Illinois Secretary of State, under a bill sponsored
by Sen. Kirk Dillard, R-Hinsdale, and passed by the Senate last week.

Of the $40 fee charged for the Scout vanity plates, $25 will go to the
Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. fund.

The legislation requires Scouts who have earned either the Eagle Scout
Award or the Gold Award to provide written proof to the Secretary of
State's office before they can be issued a special plate.

There is a very nice Eagle decal for cars (mine is on the back window
outside). My regular tag is my amateur license call - tough choice
between that and a WWII Vet tag.I bought the Eagle decals for both
sons and the two oldest grandsons cars also.

I endorse the idea of the top Scout executives personally making
license plates for their sins of covering up child molestations and
pandering the idea that all gods are equally meaningless...so choose
one....it'll look good.
